New Little Free Pantry Is Placed In Memory of Hunter Brown
Thanks to a generous family, NWES now has a food pantry near the school entrance/exit. It was placed there in memory of Hunter Brown, an eighth grader at Central Wilkes Middle School who died in a tragic accident in 2018. A gold plaque on the back of the pantry reads in part, "He was a good son, a devoted brother and a great friend. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and sports but is remembered, by those who knew him best, for his kind and generous heart, including buying food for the homeless." We would like to thank Hunter Brown's family for this wonderful gift.
